Lead Pastor

Pastor Anita Eastlack is married to Karl and they have three terrific children: Aaron (and wife Lauren), Bethany (and husband Joe and son Samuel), and Rachel (17 years old).  Karl is the CEO of World Hope International (www.worldhope.org), a relief and development organization. Anita earned a bachelor’s degree from Houghton College (BS, Business Management), holds counseling certification from the American Association of Christian Counselors and is an ordained minister in the Wesleyan Church.  She serves on the Board of Directors of Hephzibah Children's Ministries in Macon, Georgia and is also on the Pastoral Board of the Catherine Foundation, here in Waldorf. Pastor Anita embraces the Ephesians 4:12 model of church life and leadership, "…equipping the saints for works of service."  She has a great passion for the local church and believes in Christ's transforming love and power in an individual's life within the context of a community of faith.

Deanna TreadwayDeAnna Treadway
Director of Children Ministries

DeAnna and Brant Treadway have been married for ten years and have three beautiful children, Sarah, Trinity, and Hope.  They met in the U.S. Coast Guard, and during their service in Michigan, they began working with youth ministries.  Upon returning to Maryland in 2004, they both connected with New Life Church.  DeAnna has volunteered in the Children’s Ministry program for New Life Church since 2006.  Her husband is actively pursuing his call to ministry by studying to become an ordained pastor.  When the family is not busy with work or school, they enjoy playing games and traveling together.  Sarah, Trinity, and Hope also enjoy dance and gymnastic classes.  DeAnna believes it is important to raise children with a firm Christian foundation.  It is through this foundation that children can grow into the Christ-like leaders of tomorrow.  This foundation is established both in church and at home.  When Jesus called the children unto Him, it was so He could love and embrace them.  At The Vine Wesleyan Church, we strive to provide a safe and loving atmosphere for children of all ages to come and learn about Jesus Christ.  Uniting with Pastor Anita and her Ephesians 4:12 model of church life and leadership, “…equipping the saints for works of service,” we strive to equip parents for their greatest call to service, their children.

Bethany StempertBethany Stempert
Director of Office Ministries

Bethany Stempert has been married to Joe for 4 years and last April became the mother of a wonderfully chunky son, Samuel Jack.

Bethany graduated from Houghton College, where she studied elementary and special education. She has spent the last 3 years teaching special education in Atlanta, Georgia.

As the daughter of two pastors, she had grown up with a deep appreciation for the church body and has seen God’s work done through His people. She is already so thankful for the way The Vine Wesleyan Church congregation has already welcomed her family and made Maryland, “home.”

Bethany loves to read, has a deep passion for children, and strongly believes in the blessing of family. She is excited to connect with other believers at The Vine and reach out to the community of Waldorf!

I grew up with my family in a small town called Bessemer City, North Carolina; which is outside of Charlotte. After many years of God tugging my heart, telling me to prepare for the ministry, I finally accepted. In the fall of 2007 I started my first of 4 years at Bethany Bible College. After 3 years of being trained as a Pastor I am excited to do my 6 month internship here at the Vine Wesleyan.

The heart of God is more than just outreach, but it is the heart behind the method. The ability to love is more than a good feeling, or a feeling of fulfilling Christian duty; but it is the ability seek after the One God, through Jesus, with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength (Deut. 6:5). Our love for our God will continue to show by our fruit, which will come naturally the closer we walk with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
